Mauricio Latino, completed his PhD research in the Institute for Frontier Materials at Deakin University. As part of an Energy Pipeline CRC sponsored project, he investigated the role of organic coatings on cathodic shielding and corrosion under disbonded coatings of underground structures. Current research areas as a research fellow cover understanding the degradation of gas distribution pipes and their suitability for the safe delivery of hydrogen/methane blends as an alternative pathway to decarbonisation.
